Salt Spring Wayfinding

The Salt Spring Island Wayfinding Project is a series of seven site specific ephemeral works created in response to seven sites on Salt Spring Island. The heart, or hub, of the work was at the main entrance to Mahon Hall on Rainbow Road where an installation of photographic banners, one for each of the site works. The banners have a QR code printed on the left hand corner that, when scanned with a phone, will go to the corresponding web page with directions to the site.

Each of the works is ephemeral and created with materials found at that the site. They will all eventually disappear, some sooner than others, and become reintegrated back into the land.
